Nicknames: anna.
Gender: female.
Age && Birth Date: twenty two, april third.
Member Group: resident.
Sexuality: heterosexual.
Occupation: pediatrics nurse.
Play-by: ashley greene.
loves: shopping, fashion, looking her best, anchors, key necklaces, meeting new people, being with friends, parties, boys, modeling, dancing, arguments, gossip, singing, scary movies, funny movies, swearing (but not overly so), water, running, working out, being healthy, leading a healthy life, musicians, athletes, alternative/punk music, rap music, generally all music, concerts, performing, relationships, romance, flirting, having an instant connection with someone, rain, summer storms, sunshine, being outside, living life, lip-singing, making others smile, helping people with their problems, goofing around, nicolas sparks novels, movies that make her cry, sex, pickup lines, sweet gestures, playful teasing, pet names, that her parents are so far away from her, New York City, runway shows, being photographed.
dispises: secrets, lies/liars, not being liked, people telling her what to do, guilt, whores, stupid movies, drugs, tea, people who don't take care of themselves, cloudy days, stereotypes, cliques, people commenting on her small size, people insulting her, people who don't show their own style, most country music, any disney stars, overly packed theaters, being unoriginal, the stench of smoke, school work, her procrastination, her past, any man who doesn't treat a girl with respect, women who stay in abusive relationships, men who are abusive, physical violence, abortion, rejection, that she's so far away from Maddie.
goal(s) for the future: to eventually get married and have children, and also to put her nursing degree to work once she stops modeling.
fear(s): never doing something with her life, become compliant, that she'll be in an abusive relationship, to be raped again, have to give up another child, everyone finding out about her past, people not liking her, people wanting her to change who she is, losing her sense of style, that her past will never stop haunting her, being alone.
the overall: Moody; Anna’s moods change often. It’s normally on her bad days, those days that she feels like she doesn’t deserve to live because she had aborted her child. Even on good days, she’ll be moody just not as harsh and drastic.
Sensitive; Annabel is simply sensitive. She takes comments to heart, and often believes what she is told, good or bad. It comes with the moodiness as her sensitivity is often the cause of the mood change. She cries easily, but still tries to be strong.
Bubbly; Anna is almost always in a good mood, and happy to see you. She’s energetic, and gets your spirits up. She’ll normally greet you with a grin and a tight hug. Her eyes light up in excitement often, and she’s just a happy girl. Well, most of the time that is.
Fun; Anna tends to keep a fun and entertaining presence around her. She always loves to try new things to keep the party going, and will often give up suggestions for a good time.
Caring; Anna is one of those people who can’t help but want to do what they can for someone else. Make the other person feel better, make the rest of the world happy. She helps people out of tough situations and normally always gives good advice.
Argumentative; Anna will argue a point to no end. She loves drama, to an extent, and often wants to argue with someone because she’s bored. Even if she doesn’t really believe what she’s arguing about, she’ll be defiant and continue on just so she can win.
Bitchy; On those off days, Anna can be a complete bitch. Even on the good days, really. It’s not something that she hates about herself, and it’s another one of those things that doesn’t show its head very often. She insults directly, even if she says that she’s kidding, it will normally hurt anyways.
Manipulative; Anna loves to get her way. Who doesn’t, really? But it’s a talent of hers. She can get almost anyone to do anything and everything for her with the proper smile and wording choice.
Slow; Sometimes Anna doesn’t process things as quickly as others. She can be confused at times; in the middle of a conversation she won’t get something and won’t hesitate to ask for clarification.
Hidden Intelligence; Anna may seem like an idiot due to her being slower and confused on occasion, but she really is smart. She gets good grades, and working her way out of situations always requires good planning. Proper insults and comebacks take thought too, so she obviously isn’t an idiot.
Sarcastic; Anna likes to be sarcastic. It isn’t really too common for her, but it happens. The comments are normally driven from some remark someone makes or just because she wants to.
Committed; Anna loves being in a relationship, as odd as it seems. She likes the idea of belonging to someone, belonging someplace, and once she’s there she won’t cheat. She may flirt, but that’s just who she is.
Flirty; Anna’s always liked boys a lot. A lot, a lot. More than she should, probably. She always flirts with them, seeing how they react to her and just being playful. It’s a part of her, and it’s probably not going away anytime soon.
Secret Keeper; If you tell Anna your secrets, which you undoubtedly will, she won’t tell anyone. She may take a few actions into her own hands, or push you in the right direction and tell you what you need to do to get out of whatever mess, but she won’t tell anyone you don’t want her to.
Confident; Anna knows how she looks. She’s definitely not ugly, and not just pretty either. She’s had people tell her how beautiful she is, being a model for most of her lifetime. She’ll play off of her looks, and she knows how to accentuate her prize winning features and how to mask those she doesn’t like too much. Even on her bad days when she feels as if she’s the worst person in the world, she’s still confident in her looks.
Dirty Minded; Anna’s mind is in the gutter, simple as that. No description necessary.
Independent; Anna has practically raised herself, and had made her own decisions. She liked it that way. She doesn’t like depending on people for things, but will if she must.
Prideful; This goes along with the independence. She doesn’t like accepting help, as she often feels like it’s a sign of weakness. She can do it herself. Unless she gets stuck and wants help, of course.
Sense of Humor; Anna loves to laugh, and she’ll laugh at a lot of things. She’s pretty carefree and light, and often makes people laugh. She loves it.
Backbone; Anna will stick up for herself and others. She doesn’t like people bullying others, and will normally get in the way of that. She’ll back her friends up in an argument.
Procrastinator; Anna likes having things done, yes. But she can never seem to get started early. She hates this trait of hers, but oh well. She’s learned to live with it.
Paranoid; She assumes this is because of what had happened, but she's always worrying about someone slipping her some drugs in her food or in a drink, and she just thinks of the most wild of possibilities. Anna is easily put on edge, and it isn't something that she likes about herself. Davis showing up here in Santa Monica definitely isn’t helping matters, and she’s finding herself looking out for herself more then she previously was.
Outgoing; Anna’s always been out there, loving for the world to see her. Well, her minus her secrets. She’ll go up to people on the streets and make conversation with them, but it’s just a normal thing for her.
Persistent; When Anna has something in her line of sight that she wants, she’s determined to get it. No matter what. So, get used to it. Be prepared to be manipulated and annoyed till giving in.

the overall history:
------------- --------- the parents’ tale; ------------
Elliot Murphy, at the age of twenty three, visited France for a vacation with a few close friends. It was a “Bachelor Party” made into a last vacation before family life. Madeleina, fresh faced and eager to face the world on her own at the age of eighteen had grown up there – it was home. The two met in a local bar, and went back to her apartment. He ended up taking her back to America with him, before either even knew that Anna had been conceived. The pair were in love – and there was no doubting that fact. Elliot was laying down the plans for his own law firm, having just a few months until graduating law school early. Madeleina always had her hand at fashion and started her own line when they first arrived back in New York. Then, she learned that she was pregnant. Elliot, being the honest man he is, asked her to marry him and the rest was history. Well, except for the point where they were planning on aborting the pregnancy – but Madeleina backed out last minute, not wanting it to get out into their new place in society and affect their reputation. So, on April 3rd, 1988, Annabel Clarisse Murphy was born, whether Elliot and Madeleina were ready and wanting or no.
------------- --------- the early years; ------------
Annabel was taken care of by a nanny most of the time – and she was nice enough. But a nanny couldn’t provide the kind of love that Anna desired as a young girl. She hardly saw Elliot and Madeleina, but their marriage was still going strong. Anna was told whenever she asked where the pair were that they were “busy working” and “would see her later”. She accepted it, not knowing what else she could do. Her five year old brain couldn’t comprehend the idea that her biological parents weren’t large fixtures in her life. Her nanny was enough for her, but when that’s all you’ve known for your entire life, wouldn’t you believe it was too? Anna was always falling and tripping, and had many scars in proof of the incidents. She often played alone in her large room, or one of her mother’s friend’s daughters and their nanny came over to keep her company. Anna was given all that she wanted, even things she didn’t. It came with the wealth and high society of her family name. The Murphy’s. One of the best lawyers in the country, matched with the famous designer of the LeBlanc name, and the most adorable and well-mannered young girl the city had seen in years. The perfect picture, and that’s all they were. Anna only saw her parents for the parties and the family portraits. The public life. Her mother started putting her into fashion shoots, now becoming mom-ager extraordinaire. It’s what Anna grew up with, private schools, model shoots, and high fashion in a fast paced city.
------------- --------- high school; ------------
At the age of ten, Anna’s nanny wasn’t needed anymore so she was, much to Anna’s dismay and protesting, then let go. “She wasn’t a necessity when you can stay home by yourself,” her mother had explained, sounding very flippant, short, and slightly annoyed. “Plus, you’ll be so busy with shoots and fittings, your friends, and school you won’t even notice her missing!” Not notice? Anna found it doubtful, but knew that arguing was no use. And she did miss her nanny much. Her nanny had always helped her with her homework, and friend issues, and if she needed someone to talk to about the life of a young model. Her dreams, deep thoughts, all of her desires were now unheard. But, Anna being her, got over it. Her mother wouldn’t listen to her, she knew. Anna wasn’t close enough with any friends, even if she was considered the ‘most popular’. Not that it mattered to Anna – all it was were bonfires, stupid jokes, cocky boys who were just starting to make those dirty references and bitchy girls that were always down each others’ throats. So, Anna grew up. She dealt with these friends of hers, got all A’s, was the perfect student. She kept modeling vigorously, and at thirteen she started walking the catwalk for the junior’s line of some big brand. Her mother kept her in the modeling business, setting her up for shoots and commercials. That was all her mother did, though, and she still never saw Elliot. He was always either in his home office working, out with clients, at the office, or out of town.
When Anna reached fourteen, the summer before she started high school, things changed for her. She was sick of her classmates’ immature antics, so she set out for new friends. She became closer with other models in the area, majority of them older then she, and they all turned to be tighter then Anna could believe. She was now in an entertaining group of “Populars”, all of them rich and gorgeous, outgoing and ready for a good time. She entered the parties flawlessly, and fit right it with the scene. The drinking made her feel alive and like she fit it, and all of her friends were doing it, so she felt it was right. And it was, really. She fit in there – she was older and more mature then her classmates as is, so it just made sense for her to do these kinds of things before any of them. Therefore, practically every night of the summer she spent in a club, obviously snuck by without ID, or in someone’s house drinking away her troubles. She was taken with open arms; grinding up against guys like the pros, taking back shots like the seniors, and having a different hookup almost every night.
When Anna entered high school, she was vastly different. She practically just hung out with the older students, and her name was well known. Everyone knew who she was, and everyone either loved her or was too jealous to see past it. For Homecoming she was the Freshman Representative, and had gone with friends. Mr. Davis was in the same grade as her, and he apparently had his eye on her. The pair spent most of the dance together, and went to the same after party. By the end of the night, they were known as a couple to the student body. She liked him a lot, sure, and he was fun to be around. He liked the same things she did, and Anna thought he was extremely hot. After just a month of dating, they had sex. He kept her in the party scene, and kept that part of her that lusted after him extremely satisfied, no matter how weird that seems. They had so much “Interesting Experiences” to last a lifetime, and then some. If anyone had heard her stories they would probably call her a slut, because yeah, it sounded really bad. Anna was content with him, and couldn’t see a single reason for them to break up. Everyone loved the two together, anyhow.
It was the end of the summer that Anna then decided that she wanted out of New York and that life. Her parents were becoming too distant for her liking, and she felt like too much was the same as always. She needed change, so she asked her parents if she could go to a boarding school for her junior and senior year. They had declined the idea, leaving her without choice but to stay in New York until she graduated. She broke it off with her boyfriend, as he was cheating on her anyways, plus he tended to get just a little too physical when he got mad, which was often. Anna partied hard her last two years of high school, hooking up way too many times, being drunk practically all the time. It was the only way that she could deal with her parents, her life.
Over Spring Break in her senior year of high school, something had happened. The night had started out normal enough. Enter venue of party with friends, take a drink, and another, dance with whoever, drink, have fun, drink, chill out, and stay the night and wait for the hangover the next day. Press repeat. But this night was different – after dancing a little bit, she had taken a drink from some guy, Anna couldn’t remember who, and little did she know it contained GHB. Her hookup ended up being hazy, but she clearly remembered struggling to get away and saying “Stop,” before passing out. Her attempts were futile, and she wasn’t completely sure of what had happened. But thanks to the flashbacks in her nightmares, she had enough of the scene to figure it out, plus the soreness and bruising along her body. Her assumptions were only proven correct when she found out she was pregnant. Anna didn’t know what to do. She didn’t know who the father could be, couldn’t remember the face and never caught the name. Her friends couldn’t recall either, only that he had been some graduates friend from college. She was only eighteen, and would have no clue how to raise a child, wasn't ready for it. How would her mother react? Horribly, that’s how. Her life wouldn’t be as it is. No one knew that she was raped or that she was pregnant and really didn’t want them to figure out either of those minor details. So, she got an abortion. It seemed like the best option, the ONLY option. Anna feels horrible about it, and often wonders what life would be like if she hadn’t aborted the child.
After this, Anna started partying even more, if that were possible. She became numb, a complete bitch to everyone. She was heartless, cold. Numb, nothing. She was the definition of "Cold Hard Bitch". Graduation didn't change this - she continued to be this way until she got her new life, her new beginning. Moving her ass all the way to Mistridge to attend some local university, it was the perfect opportunity. No one knew her. She could start over. Which was exactly what Anna did.
------------- --------- the college life; ------------
Starting out freshman year, Anna's self-changes were immediate. Long gone was the ultra bitch, and she did not want to be like that again. It was cold, lonely in a sense, even with so many people envying her for whatever reasons. Loving her, loathing her, lusting after her. She previously thought that she could, and SHOULD, keep them all at bay, considering she had killed someone. In her eyes, she had killed her child. She was a mother of a dead child, and the death was at her hand. Becoming more selfish, Anna opened up to anyone that would have her, even some people who wouldn't. It was just who she was now. She was energetic, lively, right. Anna now held an air of positivity, and enjoyed being around people, helping them when they need it. She was now realizing who she had been in high school, and she didn't want to be like that ever again. So Anna had promised herself that she would never be like that again - this was a new life, a new Anna. She had taken a gun and shot the bullet at her old self, then took the shattered pieces and rebuilt herself, differently. The pieces fit together now, better than they did before. This was her, and it wasn't changing. No one in Mistridge would know her old self. It was perfect. She could now easily hide her past, even if the pain was so intense that it knocked her off of her feet sometimes, made it impossible to get out of bed in the mornings. Her plan was to not tell anyone about who she used to be, and definitely not that she was raped, or that she had been pregnant and then aborted it. No one needed to know it, as it wasn't relevant in her eyes anymore. Not when that person was long gone, not replaced with this new girl.
Even if the bitch often comes out to play, bringing the cold exterior and insults on those 'bad days' that she so often has.
Then enter the Johnson family. Anna became close with all of them, becoming a family friend, another extension of their family. They were like her own family, the family that she had always hoped to have. She fit in with them, and spent a lot of time around them, at their house whenever she had the time. All four of them knew her better than anyone else ever had, she trusts them, loves them. Anna knows that they would be there for her whenever she needed them, and she would be there in a heartbeat if any one of them needed her.
Over Christmas break of her freshman year, her parents announced something. Her mother was pregnant. They nearly severed all ties with Anna, and then Madelyn Marie was born over the summer, on July 12th. Anna refused to let her parents do the same thing to little Maddie that they had done to her, but she couldn't do anything - her parents were hardly speaking with her.
Later in her college years, she got together with one of the Johnson boys, the oldest. The pair had always been extremely close, and their relationship just felt right. Anna told Benny everything about her past - who she had been, her childhood, her party days, the rape, the abortion, how she was feeling about everything. He knew her inside and out, and she trusted him. She was in love with him. Anna could picture herself with him forever, for the rest of her days, growing old with him. Not that she ever said something like this out loud, but she had dreamed of it. And she wanted it, eventually. But she wasn't in any rush. For the time being, she was just trying to enjoy her college years. Her parents still aren't speaking with her, and Anna being away didn't help matters any. Modeling was going well, she was becoming more and more popular, higher brands wanting her to model their newest designs, whether it be on the catwalk, on the TV, or in a print ad, they wanted her. She prided herself in her modeling, and continued working it. It was a part of her, it wasn't going anywhere. She graduated a local college with a nursing degree, and her career picked up right away. Currently living alone, she works as a pediatrics nurse, her spare time filled with Benny, shopping, and just being out and living her life.

rp sample:After the epic break up, deemed the 'Break-Up of the Year', from what Anna had overheard in the halls of the school. Gossip travelling like wildfire behind closed hands, under hushed tones, meant to stay away from her ears. Of course, this was never succeeded, considering Anna was aware of many - if not all - of the rumors flooding through the gossip mill about her. The breakup, who he had cheated with, whose fault it was. ‘No, he didn't really cheat, it's just a hoax’. ‘She's such a drama whore’. Anna's heard it all, but she hasn't let it affect her appearances. As soon as her heart was torn, the numb mask had returned full-fledged. It was a simple complexity, in the sense that it was simple to condone on Anna's part, complex in every other aspect. Her bubbly aura crumples down; her normally lively eyes become an empty void, a dark abyss of nothing and no emotion. Her numb exterior does nothing to her on the inside - her old self is locked away, underneath this heavy exterior, pushing and shoving to be set free again. To feel again, to heal, and get over this, move on from this - and every other - incident that Anna has had to encounter. It was something that she had never done - let herself feel fully, instead of going numb to block things out. She wasn't aware that she needed to; she believed that she was doing just fine, and was as happy as she could be.
Her nightmares and flashbacks would say everything but her being fine. A therapist was never considered - what would the people think? And why would she need to pay someone to listen to her, listen to things that she wanted to keep to herself? It all made no sense to her, so she kept going the way she always has. Using her mask, the very one that she had perfected. And in this case, enduring the cut-throat gossip of high school, being on the digging end of it - the mask had hardened. Pushing herself farther and farther away from those around her, not letting them see the affect that everything was having on her. The vulnerability, the hurt, the betrayal, the guilt, the anger. The want to know and the conflicting want to have never found out. The wish to have never loved him, the fear to open up like that again. The wonder of why he had done it, the self-doubting thoughts running through her head. The heartbreak of a first love, the red-hot anger seething through her veins from how it had ended. No one could see any of that, with this mask. Other than maybe a select few, who knew her better then she knew herself. The very ones that she had never been able to hide anything from, not that she was aware of who these people were. At this moment, Anna believed that she was alone in the world. The one person that she had trusted the most had betrayed and hurt her worst. He was her savior, her guardian, her protector. She had knocked down her own defenses ever so much with every passing day, leaving more room for heartbreak and pain. He had left her feeling safe; her haven was in his warm embrace, her protection in his strength, her reassurance in his voice. Once they ended, Anna was left defenseless to the world. Having to build her wall up at her weakest, she had lost all will to let someone else be that to her.
Anna rarely paid attention to anything anymore. In class, she pretended to listen, act normal. It was a robotic action, done without thought, second nature, and an instinct. She made conversation, but ditched on plans, claiming she had a modeling shoot of some sort or too much homework, she was just way too busy. When in actuality, she had nothing planned, other than to maybe just lounge out in the dorm for the evening. Possibly head out to the club, drink her sorrows away. It was a simple and sad lifestyle, not that Anna noticed. She didn’t notice anything, anymore.
Walking through the halls, Anna could hear the murmurs surrounding her. Was everyone suddenly talking about her? Did they have anything else to talk about? You would think so – but apparently not, at least when she was present. Was it a goal of her fellow students to constantly remind her of her latest tragedy? Anna had no clue what went through her peers’ heads, and even if the gossip bugged her in every way, she didn’t let it show. She couldn’t, even if she had wanted to. The mask was too strong; she was too cold, too numb, and too heartless. The annoyance bubbling up from her stomach and the anger in her gut, both mixing with the always present stabbing pain of heartbreak, leaving her wanting to gasp for air, to breathe, to release the pressure. being unable to do so, her lungs constricted, making her feel empty, while at the same time, her heart felt like it had been torn out, leaving a gaping hole where it once was - full, in love and beating in perfect condition. It was all nearly too much to hide, but it was all kept hidden, sending her into her own little world, where gossip didn’t exist. Her world was nothing, blank; her surroundings without the people, her only thoughts the ones that have been tugging at her since the breakup. In this world, Anna was briefly aware of the whisperings, the footsteps, the normal clamor of the student body, as well as her arrival at the courtyard. Finding a spot near the fountain, Anna decided to just relax for a few minutes. Her stone cold gray eyes gazed into the restless water, sitting on the chilled and slightly damp stone edge of the fountain. The water was almost calming, she realized. It was something she had never taken the time to notice before. Sure, she had been around the fountain before – what student hadn’t? But she had never just attempted to relax, watch the calming movement of the water, and listen to the splashing of the waves.
Still, it didn’t help with her moods. Anna felt like nothing could, at this point.
