quick overview.
The lovely lady you see here is Cathleen Alexander, more commonly known as Mrs. Alexander to the residents of Mistridge. She has lived in Mistridge almost her life and has been employed at Mistridge High as the school guidance counselor for many years. She has been happily married for thirty-four years and is the mother of four, although she lost one of her children in 1986. She is sixty-one years old.
Mrs. Alexander is a genuinely kind and friendly woman. She is energetic to the point that it can be overwhelming, but people have learned to live with it and enjoy her company. She is friendly and understanding, which makes her a good guidance counselor. Although talkative, she is an intent listener and is good and providing comfort and advice to those who ask for it.
relationships.
» friends. It is safe to say that she has friends, both young and old. Cathleen sees herself as a friend to anyone and everyone. She is not hard to get along with at all. When you befriend Cathleen, she is what some might describe as a "fierce" friend. She is honest and loyal and would do nothing to go against a friendship.
» enemies. Although there are fewer of these than there are friends, everyone has their enemies. It is hard to dislike Cathleen, but it is not impossible. People who are easily annoyed would probably dislike her because she can talk a lot once she gets going. Other people who might dislike her are those who are constantly sent to her office to "discuss their problems."
» colleagues. This is obviously for other staff members at Mistridge High. She makes it a habit of talking to her colleagues on a daily basis and always tries to get to know them through sometimes-awkward conversation. She always asks how they and their families are doing.
» role model. That is to say that Cathleen is the role model to other people. She reaches out and touches people in a way that not many can. Her genuine friendliness and optimism makes her a good role model. Students who have confided in her might consider her a role model and a sort of mother figure to them.
» others. There is obviously more that I can add, but I can't think of anything off the top of my head. Feel free to think up relationships people might have with her and post them below. I look forward to role-playing with y'all and getting to know your characters. |

benny&&eve i'm not sure if either of them would actually know her. benny is more unlikely because he's a younger resident, goes to the school on rare occasion and so forth. i'm sure if they knew each other on the side lines he'd be some-what decent to her, but he's not the brightest crayon in the box.
eve, isn't very bright either. she's quiiite the opposite actually. she's in high-school and gives very little respect to the teachers/administrators/counselors and everyone. she may have been sent to the guidance office because of constantly verbally abusing people, who knows, but i knooow she wouldn't be cooperative.
james he's schizophrenic, so, he gets picked on a lot and he's just a super large doormat. i imagine he's gone to her a lot whether it be just to get things out or 'tattle' on bullies.

eve & cat even if eve were disrespectful towards cathleen, i'm not entirely sure she'd say anything. cathleen isn't one to correct children that aren't her own unless it's absolutely necessary, and she doesn't take disrespect to heart. she knows that kids will be kids and that most of them are 'at that age'. i imagine eve and cat would always have miniature banters going back and forth; i'm sure cathleen would enjoy it since it reminds her that she can't fit everything. either way, disobedience and disrespect don't really faze cat.
james & cat if he's got issues, then yeah, he'll always be in cat's office. i imagine cat would know a lot about him in terms of his problems, and she wouldn't mind it if he came to her office to vent. she has no trouble listening. besides, that's what she's there for. i see james being the one to have the most interaction with cat out of all three of your characters.
threading did you have any ideas for threads for either pair? the only thing i can think of is eve getting sent to the principal's office and then being redirected to cat's office to 'talk.' and then with james, maybe he'd just get up fom class during a bullying session and talk to cat? i haven't read either of their profiles (yet...), so i'm not completely sure of their personality and such. anyway... that's all i got right now. i see, i see.. agreed to all of the relations, james is definitely going to be the most interactive with her. he'll probably be a regular see for her, just depending on if he's uncomfortable and needs to go there. and as for threads:
eve's already got a thread up, so i think we should go for the james one right now (: it doesn't seem unlike him to ask to get away from the class if he had been bullied a bit too much, he can't handle a lot at the same time. so yeah, maybe that?

CATHLEEN&LEXI: I can definitely see Lexi being sent to her office on SEVERAL occasions. Lexi is a badass around the school. She's a junior, who flunked her last year, and she's the local drug dealer. Maybe Cathleen tries to show her some guidance? maybe get her to realize school is important? maybe she even catches Lexi selling sometime? haha idk but we can go several ways with these two
