the overall: Vanessa is for the most part a very sweet and cooperative girl. She tries to make the most out of her life whilst still respecting her body and her own wishes without completley bending to everybody else. Although it is very likely that she would rather see herself do without than someone else. She's very protective of herself she keeps alot of people at an arms length just because of her past she refuses to let people in because she knows what it leads to. As soon as you get past the shield you will have a friend for life but the problem would be breaking through that harsh shield that she holds up to protect herself. She'll never openly admit it but she is so desperate to find a guy who loves and treats her right. She may have found him right now but the truth is she's waiting for it all to mess up, she's not very optimistic about the direction her life will take she's always convinced that when good things happen it means that something bad is due. Of course to lack any craziness she doesn't let others around her know of her feelings.
She has grown intolerant of herself she doesn't really care so much about herself, she's detached from her emotions in a way because she just thinks they are going to hold her she doesn't feel anything towards herself only towards the people around her. She refuses to drag people down with all of her negative thoughts, she's a happy and social person in public behind closed doors thats a different story although she has to admit in recent weeks she's been building some hope that she may have someone who really can change her life but she doesn't want to get her hopes up for them to be knocked back down so she's holding onto her heart closely for now. She's a laid back person, she doesn't let things around her stress her out she takes on the 'whatever happens, happens.' attitude and believes that it is out of her control anyway. Saying that she is not past getting into a fight or two, she is very defensive one wrong word said against her will lead to a brawl. She has a ton of bad memories in her past and is desperatley trying to see past that and see that light at the end of the tunnel, it's just got to come around the bend for now all she can do is wait and hope that no more come and get her. Overall she is a very sweet girl and she will talk to anybody but it is a mask to the outside world.

the overall history:
She was born at 7:30pm on 6th October.. Or at least thats what she's told, she is the second youngest child in her very large family. She had a fairly normal childhood, she ran around with her brothers and sisters and learned to fight thanks to her brothers thinking it was okay to wrestle with her but overall it was happy and normal and she loved it, although more negative memories now consume her mind. When she was 13 her brother died of a drug overdose, it was a shock to the whole family nobody expected that to be the case. It hurt Vanessa especially because she knew what her brother had been up to but didn't help him when she possibly could have done which is why she wants to become a nurse now. She can help people before they can get to that stage. She blamed her parents for his death because only months before they had kicked him out and refused to let him even speak to them so he turned to the only place that would take him. If that hadn't of happened he may not have found that subculture and he may of saved his life, from this point on to spite her originally proud parents she started acting out in school, she got into fights and slept her way around disregarding anything her parents told her and purposely flipping it on it's head. The only thing she didn't take was drugs because she had no intention of getting into that world.
When she reached 18 she jumped at the chance to move in with her then boyfriend even though they had only been going out for 4 weeks, she was desperate to leave her parents behind. Things went from bad to worse for her, her boyfriend used to hit her everytime she spoke a word out of line or didn't do something to his liking, he used to do the most horrible things to her but this was short lived. It served as a wake up call for what she was doing with her life. She'd dropped out of high school but now she started working hard and managed to get into college where she is now determined to make good with her life, whether she speaks to her parents again that is another matter entirely. She barely speaks to any of her family anymore and that is completley fine with her. She's learned to cope on her own even if she does hate it.
[/quote][/blockquote]He had such high faith in her sometimes, it's not like her words reflected her confidence though she may not see herself as attractive but she was very comfortable in her own skin she knew that she didn't need to look the hottest she was a nice person and she liked the way she was. Also it was obvious that Johnny did too or he wouldn't of hung around this long so what more did she need? She laughed his "wow" yeah sure he believed the lesbian story about as much as she'd believe it if he said he was gay. They'd both justified the direction they leaned by their relationships most being completley unsuccessful well obviously or they wouldn't be single right now, but Sophie had managed to justify her sexual orientation by being completley in love with her male best friend. Which was a minor set back in everything. Relationship wise she was kinda the opposite to Johnny she did want this big wedding one day she wanted to meet the man of her dreams and start a family, hopefully with Johnny but that was all fantasy but she definetley wanted the romance at some part although right now she was in no hurry, she was far too much of a slut drunk to even consider a relationship right now and since alcohol was her escape, she couldn't see herself giving the stuff up anytime soon. "Of course i'm right" oh yeah sure she'd never heard him use these words before, he was usually right about everything... Kinda annoying sometimes maybe that was because she wasn't exactly the brightest bulb in the box. She rolled her eye's he needed to stop thinking so highly of her especially when he was right beside her.

She knew that Johnny knew that any means words she said to him were never meant, she could joke with him and say mean things that didn't mean anything because they understood each other, most people find her hard to take because they can never tell if shes joking or being serious when most of the time it is all a big joke to her but Johnny identifies that fact and plays along. Which is another reason why the two fit so well together, she'd never met anyone who could deal with her as well as Johnny could.... Then again had she ever really tried... She didn't need to look for a friend when Johnny was here. Of course she had other friends they just weren't quite as special to her.
His next words made her smirk a little bit so Maxine was being a good influence on him regardless of what she thought of the spoilt little brat, she could see Johnny changing around her... Maybe not for the better but most certainly not for the worst he was becoming more responsible and in the process of taking care of Max he had started taking care of himself too. He was trying to make it work between the two of them and she admired that, it was moves her and her brother should have made. "You don't need to try any harder for her you know. Your a really good big brother... She should count her blessings that she's got you in her life." Sophie would kill to have her big brother back as a part of her life which is partly why she was so bitter towards Max she had this man who was trying so hard to work with her and like her and have a relationship and Max was throwing it away, she may have to have a chat with Max at some point... Put things into perspective but she knew for now that was none of her business, when it started hurting Johnny though or putting anymore stress on him she would make it her business.
She knew his words just like he knew hers they both knew that they could turn to each other for anything but it never hurt to reassure each other. She honestly couldn't see it ever being any other way like him calling her up because he can't cut his chicken or something when he's all old well she will be too but they would take care of each other for the rest of their lives even when marriage did happen she would never let them lose contact because she knew it would be a major mistake on his part.
She also knew those words that he would open the door for her, but if he was working and wasn't home then the door couldn't be opened so she just had to make sure that he wasn't going to be out because she wanted just one night of care free whatever. Just her and Johnny watching trash on the tv and doing everything they used to do before life got in the way. She pushed herself up to a full on sitting position digging through her bag as she pulled out a bottle of water, she turned the top and took a drink of it, before screwing the lid back on offering it to Johnny. "Oh! Would you mind coming to look for an apartment with me? I really don't know what i'm supposed to be looking for like damp and things... You probably know a little bit more than me. I know its going to be really boring but i'll buy you ice cream or something at the end of it k?" She smirked she needed to move out she was building up her cash slowly and figured now would be a good time to start searching she couldn't deal with living with her parents much longer. She batted her eyes playfully as though trying to persuade him to come with her, she hoped he would say yes though one it would be much more fun and two she really didn't know what she was looking for.
